Reaction-Time based Testing
The open source software PsychoPy (for more information, click here) is an excellent tool to set up computer-based experiments. We use PsychoPy to program various indirect tests (e.g, the implicit association test or the modified stroop test) that are used the assessment of implicit doping attitudes (for example, read here and here). In our lab, we additionally use PsychoPy to design fNIRS experiments: PsychoPy can be used to display experimental stimuli on a computer screen and simultaneously send triggers that signify the occurrence of said experimental stimulus to the fNIRS device.
