Assessing Handgrip Strength

A hand dynamometer can be used to measure handgrip strength. As the produced force can be measured continuously it can also be used to measure how participants fatigue over time. The task for participants is simple: They are supposed to squeeze the dynamometer for as long and with as much force as possible. The Dynamometer is connected to a computer and records the data with a high temporal resolution. We use the dynamometer for example to measure the effect of motive-goal incongruence on motor performance.
