Sport Psychology: Interview in uni’kon

Research on the self-regulation of endurance performance featured in uni’kon (in German).

At the chair of sport psychology, we are interested in the psychoneurophysiological correlates of self-regulated sports performance. Specifically, we are interested in how self-regulation strategies can be used to improve sports performance (click here to learn more).

In this line of research, we collaborate with Maik Bieleke from the chair or Social Psychology and Motivation. In the interview with uni'kon, Wanja Wolff gives an overview on our collaborative effort to better understand the self-regulation of endurance performance.

One outcome of this collaboration was the organization of an international symposium on the “Psychological Determinants of Endurance Performance”. This Symposium was held in Konstanz in October 2017 and brought together an interdisciplinary field of experts on the topic. More information on the symposium and the list of speakers can be found here and a recent publication on the topic can be found here.
